Hi Everyone,
Thank-you for your brilliant response to my lockdown game design task last week - my email has not stopped pinging with your great ideas. Many were so good that I am going to borrow them for some of your PE lessons next year! I might not be allowed to do downstairs tobogganing though!!
Also, huge thanks must go to all of you who have completed the Devon Air Ambulance 40 mile challenge. I am so proud of you and the efforts you have gone to in completing such a distance in three weeks, and raising nearly £1000 as a school is amazing. VERY WELL DONE!!
Now, for this week, we are going back to one of the Active Devon Virtual School Games challenges. This focuses around tennis, inspired by Sir Andy Murray. The link should take you to the explanation document, and also a YouTube clip demonstrating the task.
If you have tennis equipment then great, but if you don't you may be able to improvise! The document explains how you can adapt the challenge for younger children, and also sets you some achievement targets.
if your scores qualify you for a medal (score chart is on the document) then please email me and I will enter you onto the official Active Devon database for your achievement to be recognised.
Don't forget - this doesn't have to be just a tennis challenge. Maybe you could try keep ups with a football, or even a rolled up pair of socks. See where your imagination could lead you.
Good luck - and have fun!
Mr Leaman
