How to Download & Install Microsoft Teams

In order to download Microsoft Teams on your Windows computer (desktop or laptop) please go to the following website:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app

 

Click on 'Download for Desktop'

 

Then Click on 'Download Teams' under the Windows symbol.

 

Microsoft Teams should begin to download (if it does not, please check to see if popups have been blocked or your antivirus has prevented it from being downloaded)

 

Once downloaded, click on the File to run the installer. Follow the instructions on the installer until it was completed and you are presented with a Microsoft Teams logon page.

 

Logging on to Microsoft Teams

Enter your child's school Microsoft account

e.g. 16JohnS@pupils.whiterockprimaryschool.co.uk

This is made up of:

• Your child's intake year,
• followed by their first name,
• followed by their surname initial,
• followed by our domain @pupils.whiterockprimaryschool.co.uk

 This may differ for some pupils, please check the front of your child's reading record for their correct login information.

 

Then enter their password (also at the front of their reading record). If your child has changed their password, please enter the new password.

 

Once all information has been entered, you should be logged in to Microsoft Teams. 

 

To access your Class Team

To access your class Team, click on the 'Teams' button on the left hand side:

You should then see a square with the year and name of your child's class. Click on this box.

 

You will then see your class 'Posts' page where your class teacher will have left learning content. You can also come here for your Daily Hello's and live lessons.

 

You are now successfully on Microsoft Teams! If you have any problems at all, please email techsupport@whiterockprimaryschool.co.uk with as much information as possible (e.g. what the problem is, any error messages you are receiving, what make/model of device you are trying to use it on etc).
