Oak Academy – Investigating Light

Today’s Art photography session is about investigating light. For the session, you will need your sketchbook or white paper – to continue from last weeks’ learning, a pencil and a camera/smart device like an ipad, phone or tablet.  Watch the video from Oak Academy. Here is the link:

TASK 1:

Capture the light with your camera. Take your camera on a treasure hunt. Can you capture any natural or artificial light?

Things to look out for:

• What the light is doing
• Any reflections

 

TASK 2:

Capture the same subject in natural and artificial light. Choose something you would like to photograph. Take photographs of it in different lights, with and without the flash.

Which image do you prefer and why? Which light source did you prefer for this image?
