We have a part time, fixed term vacancy for an enthusiastic, caring and talented Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated staff team for the remainder of this academic year.

 

The role will involve supporting children in our Reception classes. You must have a passion for helping children’s learning, good literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Calmness, firmness, a good sense of humour and the ability to build good relationships are essential qualities. 

 

Key duties in the role include: 
Working under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. This may include providing learning and care support for pupils with special educational needs (SEND) to help work towards the outcomes on their education and health care plan (EHCP). This will involve working with the teacher to plan and deliver activities and supporting the pupil with routines, transitions, and behaviour management. 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and committed team in our vibrant and dynamic school.

 

You will have achieved GCSE grade C or above (or a Level 2 equivalent) in English and Maths and have previous experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting.

 

The hours are working pattern are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only.
