In maths, we have continued our work on patterns and extending patterns by their colour or size.

We have had a great week in Reception and explored signs of Autumn. We have collected leaves from the woodlands and made leaf people. We have had fun creating with junk modelling and exploring ways of attaching pieces together. We have been working on recognising graphemes and blending CVC words.

We have had a fantastic third week of school and discovered some superheroes have crash landed their spacecraft into our woodlands! We have been working together in groups to explore all the different types of maths learning we can do inside and outside the classroom. We have been supported by our adults to use vocabulary like; tall, short, long, share, fair, more, less, altogether. We have explored the creative area and made our own robot friends based on the story "I'm going to make a friend".

We have had a fantastic second week of school and spent a lot more time in the woodlands! We have been working hard to get changed into our school splash suits and working on turn taking. We have talked with our talk partners about our families and looked at how families are all different. we started phonics sessions and are working hard to form the graphemes. We are looking forward to another fun packed week next week.
