We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Foundation Stage Practitioner (maternity cover) to join our highly successful and well-regarded team in our Explorers Nursery from September.
Alongside our Nursery Teacher and other Foundation Stage Practitioners, you will have keyperson responsibilities for particular children within the nursery, as well as providing and caring for all our children and maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment. You will work closely with colleagues to plan and assess children to ensure they make good progress and are ready for the next stage in their learning journey.
You will be an excellent role model and will use your experience and knowledge of the early years to provide consistently high-quality provision for the children. At Explorers Nursery we believe in inspiring learning together, and therefore, your role will be vital in building strong relationships with parents, carers and other professionals.
You must be a dynamic and reflective practitioner, able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and learning for our children. You will take an active role in sharing all activities with children and contributing to the planning of the programme which caters for their learning and development.
You will need to be qualified to an appropriate and recognised qualification - a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare (or relevant equivalent) & have achieved a minimum of GCSE grade C / 4 in English and Maths.
You will have experience of working with 2-4 year olds and be looking for an opportunity to get fully involved with the life of our busy nursery and school.
The working hours in this role will be Mondays to Wednesdays from 10am to 6pm (22.5 hours per week). Term time only.
This is a temporary maternity cover position and is anticipated to run from 7th September 2026 until Easter 2027.
