WHO ARE WE?

We are the parents and supporters of White Rock Primary School. We play a very important role to ensure children's high quality learning in school. We do this by planning and hosting events that will raise money for our school. WRAPS have helped the school purchase some incredible things such as ipads, a new mini bus, Year 6 Woodlands trip, and so much more. The money raised is vital to help our school and children constantly grow and develop. We work together in a fun and supportive way to plan and host exciting events and raise important funds for the school.

5 REASONS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER JOINING OUR PARENT SUPPORTERS

1. For the children

Studies show there is a direct link between parental involvement at school and child’s attainment; when children see us involved in their school and learning, it encourages them to do their best. Being active in a parent group not only improves your child's school, it makes you an excellent role model.

2. Being part of a community

Joining WRAPS is a fast way to get to know parents and staff outside of your child’s year group. Feeling part of a community is a very real human need - and more practically these friendships create a support network.

3. It gives you a voice

Many WRAPS members already act as a consultative group for the school leaders and Governors. So whether it’s deciding on where WRAPS funds are spent or presenting new ideas to the WRAPS team you can make sure parents have a voice in how our school operates.

4. Gain experience whilst not letting it take up too much time

There is always plenty of opportunities when you volunteer as a parent supporter. Whether you work full-time, part-time or you’re a stay-at-home parent, any time you can offer would be welcomed. There are a many diverse roles to play in the WRAPS team, from designing posters to planning and hosting events, there is something for everyone. But the most important skills you can bring to the team are enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in!

5. It raises welcome funds for the school

That’s the aim of the game! Whether it’s creating an outdoor classroom, stocking the science resources or arranging a school trip. The funds raised by the WRAPS team have a MASSIVE impact on the opportunities and experiences of the children at school.

SCHOOL LOTTERY

An exciting new opportunity to win money every Saturday, potentially you could even win £25,000!

White Rock Primary School has launched it's first ever school lottery!
Tickets cost just £1 per ticket, per week and 40% of all ticket sales are donated to our school.
A GUARANTEED cash prize to someone on our supporter list every week.
A further chance of winning £25,000 in a separate draw EVERY WEEK!
Draws are every Saturday at 8pm and results are posted online.

WRAPS CHRISTMAS FAYRE

WOW! Our amazing WRAPS Christmas Fayre raised an impressive £1,311.60 in profit for the school!

Thank you to everyone that attended, to all the local businesses and stalls that came along and supported us and of course a massive thank you to our team of WRAPS volunteers that made this possible!

This money will be put towards improving our children's learning. We can't wait to see what it will be put towards! Please see below for some fab photos taken by one of the WRAPS team.

WRAPS SUMMER FETE

And what a Summer Fete it was! The WRAPS team put on a great day, in fact the best yet! We don't know what the official amount raised is yet, but we do know that it has already surpassed all previous years! Please see below to look at some of the photos taken from this year's WRAPS Summer Fete!

FATHER'S DAY GIFT EXCHANGE

It's been another record breaking fundraising event for the WRAPS Team! With your help we were able to raise a brilliant £208 from this years Father's Day Gift Exchange! A big thank you to everyone that took part, with out you we wouldn't be able to raise these important funds for our school. Your money will be going to purchasing new equipment for the New Dance Studio and to supply a new school minibus in September! Happy Father's Day everyone!

MOTHERS DAY GIFT EXCHANGE

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in this years WRAPS Mother's Day Gift Exchange. We were able to make a Mother's Day Gift Exchange record breaking £274 profit for the school. This money will be put towards school resources. Thank you again to everyone that joined in and helped us raise these funds. We wonder if we will be able to break another record next year! Happy Mother's Day everyone.
