ACCESS TO CLASSROOMS IN SEPTEMBER

In order to be as open and transparent as possible we have developed a plan of pupil entry/exit and parent drop off and collection for September. The plan is a draft version and is subject to change but we have spoken with the building team to make it as effective as possible. On September 7th 2015 there will be lots of members of staff outside of school to point you in the right direction so please don't worry. In the meantime if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Headteacher, Sarah Tomkinson,  via email on

Draft Drop Off and Collection for September 2015 1

We're counting down the days now until we're finally allowed inside the new building. The whole school is really excited, especially Years 3 and 4, and the foundation stage, who have just found out they'll be the first classes to learn in the new building!

This week, the builders have installed new classroom doors. Also, they are making it the safest it can possibly be, so as to let some children explore the new classes!

This week is the last week of the term, some builders have started laying the set screen on the top floor.Lots of progress has been made! # smiley face.

This week, the builders have started putting in window frames and glass. They`re starting to complete the outside, there`s even a roof on it now!!

This week, the builders have started putting new window frames in and began building up the walls ready for the new class rooms. Although it's looking good, it is still far from done! This is a really exciting time in the construction of our brand new school... See you next time...!

Welcome back!Over the Easter holiday, the builders construction is really taking shape and they have added another layer to the new building. Now we are gladly allowed on the field because the weather has improved so much!

We saw exciting developments this week, as more work was done constructing the new school building. A concrete floor was also laid across the entire ground floor!

The frame of the brand new building is now complete and giant cranes have been lowering enormous girders onto the roof.

So as to improve their work, the builders have fit in window frames, concrete staircases and more steel girders.

Using the gigantic, towering crane, they have used girders to make a structure for the new, huge building.

Recently, the gigantic, towering crane came to White Rock Primary school so as to plant the iron girders, which will stabilise the year five and six classrooms. The reason why the builders dug the holes is because they needed to lower the girders into the depths of the holes.

Thanks for dropping by our Blog!

Last week, a giant digger arrived at White Rock Primary School to demolish the old children’s kitchen and swimming pool buildings. As you can see from the photos, this was fantastic to watch! This is the beginning of a long and exciting project which will give our school a better environment for our learning as it expands and gets bigger.

Despite all this, all the children still get to play out in the playground at break times, and when the sun is shining we are still able to have P.E lessons outside.

We will keep you updated on the building work as often as we can with our Blog and photographs, so keep popping back to see the changes at White Rock as they happen!
