Through our assemblies, we promote our learning values of Teamwork, Creativity, Innovation and Belonging. We celebrate achievements and recognise pupils' talents inside and outside of school. We meet as a whole school on Mondays and Fridays, in Phase Teams on Tuesdays and Thursdays and in House Teams on Wednesdays. Each week, on a Monday, the children are given a 'Thunk' to respond to during the week. On Friday, the children are given the opportunity to display their talents to the rest of the school. House Points tallies are also shared - as well as our Word Count and Book Count on Accelerated Reader. Our Whole School Target is 100,000,000 words and 10,000 books... will we make it?!
On Friday 9th October, we held our Harvest Assembly. The children brought in generous donations from home and we managed to fill 20 stacking boxes with tins, packets and tasty treats! We celebrated Harvest with each team singing a celebration song.
All donations will go to Anode, a charity whose motto is "Changing Lives, Giving a Voice and Fighting Poverty".

PALM FM Stormtrooper Visits White Rock
For World Book Day, we visited the Torbay Bookshop. We spent our free book tokens and also bought lots of exciting new books. To thank us for visiting, Matthew Clarke from the Torbay Bookshop, kindly donated almost £200 worth of books to our school. He presented the books to us in our assembly. We are all looking forward to reading our wonderful new books.
